First BMC “Narrow Cab” delivered into Holden Plant Rentals, Ireland.

Coventry, August 6th, 2009: BMC PLC: the official importer for the BMC coach, bus and commercial vehicle range into the UK and Ireland is delighted to confirm delivery of the first “Narrow Cab” into Ireland.

 

The sale, negotiated at the recent Futuresource exhibition marks a significant milestone for BMC, not only is it the first Narrow Cab to be delivered into Ireland but is also the first BMC vehicle to join Holden’s fleet of over 700 vehicles.

 

After recently being awarded the contract to supply Cork City Council with its entire Road Sweeper fleet and Refuse Truck fleet following a tender competition earlier this year Holden Plant Rentals chose the BMC “Narrow Cab” fitted with Farid body and Otto bin lift, with its superb design and affordability the vehicle represents an all round value for money package.

BMC secure lucrative MOD Contract.

BMC  the largest fully integrated commercial vehicle manufacturers in Turkey  signed  a contract to supply 1859  various types of military vehicles to the Turkish Undersecretariat of Defence Industries.

 

The order value is in excess of 300 Million Euros.The order consists of Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) armoured vehicles, 2.5 Ton (4x4), 5 Ton (4x4) and 10 Ton (6x6) Tactical Wheeled Vehicles. BMC have been heavily involved in the research and development of various special purpose vehicles since 1972, with its range expanding rapidly over the past years it has seen the introduction of numerous new products including Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), RIOT control, Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) and Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP). During 2008 the new generation of Tactical Wheeled Vehicles were introduced.


The success of BMC's defence products have also been recognised beyond its Turkish borders, as the company received orders for both aircraft refullers and (4x4) vehicles to NATO allied countries.

 

BMC currently exports to more then 50 countries worldwide, including the UK, Ireland and Poland, where director of its UK importer Ray McNally Commented; “We are delighted at the news of BMC securing such a fantastic order, it bodes very well that in these tough economic times BMC are able to buck the trend, the knock on effects allows us (UK importer) to remain ever competitive”

 

In addition to ISO 9000 quality certification the company also holds AQAP 110 and AQAP 120 Quality Assurance Certificate, indicating that BMC's quality standards meet the stringent NATO requirements with regards to design, development and production of commercial and military vehicles.

 

 

BMC Dealer Council formed.

Coventry, April 6th, 2009: BMC PLC, the official importer for the BMC coach, bus and commercial vehicle range into the UK and Ireland has announced that following lengthy negotiations between BMC and the dealer network a “Dealer Council” has been formed.

 

The inaugral meeting of the council took place at BMC’s Ibstock Road Headquarters on Wednesday 22nd April 2009. The primary function of the council is to improve and enhance the levels of comminication between manufacturer, dealer and customer with the view to making the ownership of a BMC product as enjoyable as possible.

 

The Dealer council will be chaired by Graham Hancock of H&H Commercials and will consist of both sales and aftr sales service dealers of the BMC product range. Graham commented; “I am delighted to have been elected the Dealer Council Chairperson, the formtion of the council will help us as dealers and customers move forward as a unified team, strengthen ties and provide a stable platform for us as an organisation to further develop the brand within the UK and Ireland”

BMC PLC announces new after sales service manager.

Coventry, April 6th, 2009: BMC PLC, the official importer for the BMC coach, bus and commercial vehicle range into the UK and Ireland has announced the appointment of Mr. Keith Chadwick Eng Tech AAE MIMI MIRTE MSOE as group after sales service manager with immediate effect.

 

Keith Chadwick, a highly valued member of the BMC team has been with the company for five years and brings with him qualifications that speak for themselves, but more importantly experience within the company’s after sales service department.

Coventry based BMC plc is using the CIWM exhibition to announce its latest new product, a 26 tonnes 6x4 chassis cab with a new low entry cab, purpose designed for municipal and highways applications.

The first BMC Hawk, 28 seat service bus is being displayed at this year's ALBUM conference in Cardiff. The 9.4 metre bus is powered by a Cummins 150bhp engine with a Voith automatic gearbox.
